On Wednesday morning Revenue Officers working in Shannon airport seized two packages containing Kratom, valued at €51,000, which arrived into the airport.
One of the packages contained two 1kg packed bags of Kratom with an estimated value of €40,600, which originated in Luxembourg and was bound for an address in Mayo; the other package was sent to an address in Tipperary.
Investigations into the shipments are ongoing and anyone with information in relation to them can contact the Revenue confidential phone line on (1800 ) 295295.
