The HSE have ordered a Ballina butcher to close its premises.
The order was served on Paul Howley of Station Road Deli, Station Road, Ballina on April 17 under the FSAI Act 1998. The business is classified as a butcher (raw meat only ).
Closure orders are issued if it is the opinion of the authorised officer that there is or there is likely to be a grave and immediate danger to public health at/or in the food premises. The order may be lifted when the premises has improved to the satisfaction of the authorised officer.
