Almost €5,000 raised so far for repair of St Anthony's School bus

Over the weekend St Anthony's School reported that thieves had forcibly removed the fuel tank from one of the schools buses and also drained the diesel from an older bus belonging to the school.

A Go Fund Me fundraiser has been set up to raised funds to repair the damage to the bus which had its fuel tank removed and so far it has raised almost €5,000 for the repairs. The thieves forcibly removed the fuel tank by breaking it off from underneath the bus so they could drain the fuel. They left the broken fuel tank lying underneath the bus with lots of broken piping, tubing and attachments.

The bus is used for bringing special needs pupils on activities and educational trips. The bus is unusable now until it is repaired. The school say they do not know how much it will cost to repair but it is expected that it will need "quite a bit of work.!
