The National Spring Clean campaign is continuing with the people of Mayo out in force organising a variety of fantastic clean up events in the county.
On Monday April 27 there will be a big clean up in Castlebar commencing at 7pm with approximately 50 volunteers committed to the clean up.
On Thursday April 30 St Joseph's National School, Killala, will hold a general clean up with adults and children starting at the school and working through town from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Also Inver National School pupils will take part in a clean up of their school at 1pm. Later that evening Clogher Environmental Group will clean the Clogher area at 7.30pm. All volunteers are asked to assemble at the Community Hall, Clogher, where they will be supplied with gloves and bags.
The National Spring Clean campaign is organised by An Taisce and funded by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.
