Mustangs had their first game of 2020 away to Mohill last Saturday evening.
It was also the start of the second half of the 2019/20 season, with Mustangs undefeated to date in the league. This was never going to be an easy challenge, with Mohill always putting on a great performance at home. Nine Mustangs hit the windy road for Mohill and after a slow start, Mustangs started to build momentum.
Unsurprisingly, it was player coach Siobhan Kilkenny who opened and closed the scoring account for Mustangs on the night, amassing a total of 34 points for the game. She went to the free throw line for foul shots on 10 occasions and scored 18 out of her 19 attempts.
Equally impressive for the team was the fact that every Mustang player contributed to the final score line for the third game in a row.
Mustangs’ scorers: Siobhan Kilkenny 34pts, Anita Hoban 2pts, Ciara Griffin 2pts, Indre Majauskaite-Guscuiviene 4pts, Karen Mulherin 2pts, Sinead Hughes 7pts, Dearbhaile Ward 3pts, Louise Harte 6pts, Cliodhna Mac Cabe 2pts.
Mustangs’ next game is at home in De la Salle on Tuesday, January 28 with 8.15pm tip off. All supporters are welcome to attend on the night.
