The CL MacHale Rovers supporters will be pitching their wagons north east on Sunday when they travel to Edendork in Tyrone to take on Edendork St Malachy's for a place in the Ladies Football All Ireland Junior Club Final.
The north Mayo girls booked their spot in the semi-final two weeks ago when they hit British champions, Oisíns, for six goals in Didsbury, running out 6-8 to 1-10 winners. On Sunday they will be just an hour away from a place in the All Ireland final where the winners will face the victors of the clash between Munster champions Donoughmore and Leinister winners Navan O'Mahony's.
Rebecca Maughan was the player of the day in their semi-final win with the CL MacHale Rovers forward hitting 4-2 for her side - bagging 4-1 of that tally in the first half alone. If Maughan and her fellow full forward Rachel Kearns - who bagged 1-4 - can keep up that kind of showing on Sunday, they'll go a long way towards booking a spot in the final.
Vincent Gallagher's side saw off Tourmakeady in the Mayo final before seeing off Leitrim champions, Aughawillan, in the Connacht semi-final and then Claregalway in the provincial decider - that win sent them to Didsbury a fortnight ago. Along with Kearns and Maughan, the north Mayo side will be looking for big showings from the likes of Ciara Kelly and Caoimhe Walsh, who chipped in with 1-1 in their All Ireland quarter-final win, as well as Shauna Maughan and midfield duo Marie Larkin and Ellis Keane.
They will face a tough test on Sunday from the Tyrone side who saw off Donegal champions Naomh Muire 6-11 to 2-4 in the Ulster final, with Maeve Maxwell hitting 3-8 for her side with 1-5 of this coming from play. Centre half back Nicola Rafferty bagged 1-2 from centre half back, while midfielders Kathleen Rafferty and Louise McCaffrey both scored a goal each in that win.
The Tyrone girls have been in free-scoring form during the Ulster championship hitting 1-17 against Down side Clonduff in the quarter-final and then bagged 3-20 in their semi-final win over Monaghan champions St Brigid's.
