An course in the code of ethics and best practice in sport workshops will be held on May 19 and 20 in the Mayo Education Centre, Old Westport Road, Castlebar, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Book a place on 094 904 7025.

Adventure sports day

As part of the Active Living initiative co-ordinated by Mayo VEC in partnership with GMIT, Mayo Sports Partnership, Achill Outdoor Education Centre, and Mayo Education Centre for adventure, activities for all first years in the Mayo VEC system is to take place on Wednesday April 28 in Achill. Mayo multicultural workshop

Young people from Mayo will come together for sport, art, and music workshops at the Balla Resource Centre on Sunday April 26. For more information contact Anne at 094-9047022.

Primary schools athletics

Mayo Sports Partnership, local athletics clubs, and local national schools have come together in an initiative to promote athletics in the area. The programme will commence on April 21 at the Claremorris Athletic Club facilities on the Castlebar Road and will run until June 16.

Badminton

Badminton restarts for another four week programme at St Colman’s College Sports Hall, Claremorris, on Wednesday April 22 at 8.30pm.
