Lahardane is gearing up to celebrate its annual Harvest Fair next week — the festival on the traditional fair day is one of the oldest in Mayo with a history stretching back over 100 years.
The annual community celebration will take place on Thursday August 15 with a day of fun and festivities for all the family. Events on the day will include street stalls, auctions, prizes, live music, food, welly throwing, face painting, a fun fair, and much more.
Another great fun event taking place on the will be the traders' street race - where locals will get out and support their favourite local businesses as they fight it out for the pride of the village and the chance to win the inaugural Tim Rowland Cup.
The action will get under way at 1pm in Leonard's field in the village and admission is €2 - a great day is in store for all.
