The luck of the draw has pitted Mayo against Armagh in round three of the All Ireland Senior Football Championship qualifiers on Saturday evening.
The game will take place in MacHale Park on Saturday evening with throw-in down for 7pm, the game will also be televised on Sky Sports for those who can't attend in person.
This will be only the second ever meeting of the two sides in the championship, with the previous meeting taking place back in 1950 in the All Ireland semi-final which Mayo won 3-9 to 0-9 in Croke Park in a game that saw Tom Langan hit 2-3 for Mayo.
The last time the teams met in competitive action came in 2012 when Mayo ran out 1-14 to 0-11 winners in round three of the National Football League in the Athletic Grounds in Armagh. There are a number of survivors from that game who lined out for Mayo last Saturday against Down in Newry - with David Clarke, Keith Higgins, Lee Keegan, Aidan O'Shea, Jason Doherty and Andy Moran all starting that game seven years ago with Andy Moran hitting Mayo's goal in that clash.
The Ulster men were dumped out of the Ulster championship by Cavan at the semi-final stage after a replay, they had beaten Down in their opening championship match 2-17 to 3-13 after extra time. In the qualifiers last weekend they saw off another Ulster challenge dumping last years All Ireland semi-finalists Monaghan from the competition with a 2-17 to 1-12, with Rian O’Neill bagging 2-1 for Kieran McGeaney's men.
