Mayo Leisure Point car park raises over €30,000 for clubs and charities

Over €30,000 has been raised for local clubs and charities by Mayo Leisure Point by the use of their car park on big match days in MacHale Park.

When Mayo are playing at home, the car park at Mayo Leisure Point and Mayo Movie World is an ideal location for match supporter's. However this can cause a lot of stress on customers visiting the cinema and the bowling alley on match days, as it makes it impossible to get parking.

A few years ago the Mulroy Family made the decision to offer the car park to clubs or charities for genuine fundraising, as a means to control parking. To date, over €30,000 has been raised for local clubs including underage girls and boys football, hurling and soccer teams, Regina's Fight For Life, St Gerald Lourdes Pilgrimage Trust and other Charities, with 100 per cent of all monies raised given to the club or charity involved.
