The National Spring Clean campaign is now under way and hundreds of clean-up events are due to take place in Mayo throughout April. Everyone is encouraged to take part to help tidy up their local area and make it a better, cleaner, place to live.
Today, Friday April 10, Greenwood Residents Association, Ballyhaunis, have organised their clean up as have Newport Tidy Towns and Assumption Place Residents’ Association, Foxford.
On April 12 Westport Tidy Towns will spruce up the town while on April 18 Millview Crescent Association, Ballina ,and the students of Castleduff National School, Ballaghaderreen, will tidy up their neighbourhoods.
On Sunday April 19 the 22nd Unit of Mayo Achill Scouts will be working hard to clean up their local area.
