Members of Network Mayo recently enjoyed an employment law presentation by Deirdre McHugh. Topics covered included contracts of employment, layoff and short term working, and termination of employment and constructive dismissal.
The information was delivered in a factual, straightforward fashion and the presentation was very valuable and interesting, according to Network Mayo president Sinead Holmes.
Soap box speaker for the event was Fiona Keane of www.mendr.net who outlined six key principles for getting it right online.
President Sinead Holmes said her aim this year is to provide members with up-to-date information pertaining to running a business in today’s ever changing and challenging market through a calendar of events with an array of speakers.
Network Mayo’s business awards and fashion show “Women Rock” takes place on May 22. This will be held in conjunction with its annual charity fundraiser, the proceeds of which go to Rock Rose Chicks. A members’ only speed networking meeting takes place on April 28.
