Alan Dillon, Fine Gael General Election candidate, has welcomed the announcement that the Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government have granted Stage 1 approval (approval in principal ) for a social housing capital turnkey development in Heathervale, Castlebar.
Speaking this week he said: "I welcome this announcement of funding which will provide much needed housing in the Castlebar area." Approval in principle was issue to the Mayo County Council for nine homes consisting of three bed two storey houses under the Local Authority Housing Construction Programme under Rebuilding Ireland. The provisional budget approval for the project is €1,920,000.
