Geraldine's Skincare Clinic in Westport has committed to fundraise €40,000 in 2019 in order to assist Mayo Rape Crisis Centre. The money will go towards three main goals:
- Reopen The Outreach Centre in Bellmullet
- Reduce the 6 month waiting list in Castlebar for Long term Counselling
- Reduce the waiting list in Ballina
A survivor of child abuse herself, Geraldine said she is particularly keen 'to raise awareness of the Mayo Rape Crisis Centre and to prevent further incidences of child abuse and rape'.
She has to date hit €4,000 of her target and is seeking runners/walkers to take part with her in the Western People Women’s Mini Marathon in Castlebar on Sunday May 5, 2019 and to raise funds to support the fundraising campaign.
