Girls Like That - thought-provoking drama by Sacred Heart School Drama Group

The Sacred Heart School Westport drama group proudly present Girls Like That by Evan Placey, in The Town Hall Westport on Wednesday May 8 at 8pm.

This will be the third full length production following on from Little Women and All Through The Night. Sacred Heart school is a top-performing drama school, having over the past five years won over 30 awards at national competitions, including three national titles.

Girls Like That - performed by the 5th year drama group, is a challenging, thought provoking, ensemble piece that looks at the dangers of social media and examines feminist progression (or regression ) over the past century.

The plot revolves around a photograph taken of a naked girl, Scarlett, that goes viral and the impact this has on Scarlett and her peers. The play celebrates the pleasures of friendship, but also the pressures and perils that come with puberty.
