This week the Mayo Advertiser got to know Denise Walsh McManamon of Instaglam beauty clinic.
What is your name and job?
Denise Walsh McManamon and I am the owner of Instaglam beauty clinic.
How long have you been in the business?
The clinic is celebrating its four-year anniversary this March 2.
What made you choose this field?
I always had an interest in beauty so when I finished school I decided to pursue it but I didn't directly have a plan, it was just the right time and place I think.
What advice would you give someone starting out in the beauty business?
Make sure you're completely dedicated and have time to work all day, seven days a week. You have to treat it like a child- it needs complete commitment!
Favourite beauty product at the moment?
Everything from the Environ range and I am a huge fan of the new Waxperts lavender room spray.
Best part of the business?
Every day there is something different, whether that be through the work, the people, or learning something new from the life experiences shared in the clinic.
What is your biggest ambition in business?
To be comfortable in the fact that we are offering good service and that this continues to be a life-long career.
And biggest ambition outside of business?
Being a mother and having a happy home.
