The funeral of a mother-of-three who was fatally injured in a road collision last Friday will take place today in Ballinglough, Roscommon.
Anne Grogan, from Cloonlough, Ballinlough was a popular member of the teach staff of Ballyhaunis Community School.
The school will be closed today, Friday, January 18 as a mark of respect to Ms Grogan. A statement from the school reads: "It was with great sadness that we learnt of the tragic passing of our dear friend and colleague Anne Grogan.
"Anne was a much loved member of the school community, admired and respected by both students and staff alike. We will miss Anne’s dedication and professionalism as a teacher but above all we will miss her kindness and her warmth as a good friend.
"Her loss is felt profoundly by our school community but this is only a shadow of the grief borne by her husband Ciaran, children Oisin, Odran and Aine, her parents and her brothers and sisters.
"All associated with Ballyhaunis Community School send our prayers and support to the Grogan and Keane families and we ask God to sustain them at this difficult time."
The funeral mass will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballinlough at 1.30pm, followed by burial in Ballinlough Cemetery.
