The Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar has announced its Spring 2019 programme with a line-up of exciting shows and performances to suit everyone.
Among the many highlights is Jack Lukeman and Pat McCabe’s singular “old-style village hall vaudeville for the future” collaboration High Lonesome (Songs from the Heartland ) (January 31 ), classical music with the charming and irrepressible Far Flung Trio (January 24 ) and dynamic young virtuosi Raphaela Gromes and Julian Riem (April 8 ), jazz with master guitarist and composer Mike Nielsen (February 7 ), and Trad music supergroup ZoDoMo (Apri 4 ).
Theatre comes in the form of an award-winning Prime Cut double bill of East Belfast Boy and Every Day I Wake Up Hopeful (February 11 ), Fishamble/Pat Kinevane’s astonishing one-man show Underneath (April 17 ), and the captivating Remember to Breathe (February 18 ), while Manchán Magan celebrates the Irish language while baking bread in Arán & Im (March 20 ), as well as an evening in the company of Chris Kent’s hugely engaging stand-up (March 14 ). Lots more including family shows, the ever-popular Linenhall Film Club and workshops for young people and adults will also fill the schedule.
