Balla Secondary School presents Burning Love on Thursday November 29 and Friday November 30 at 8pm in the school hall.
Burning Love follows a small US Midwestern town that is thrown into a frenzy with the arrival of Chad, a good-looking, motorcycle-riding roustabout, who rides from town to town with a guitar on his back, blue suede shoes on his feet and a song in his heart.
Repressed by their conservative mayor, the town begins to come alive once more under Chad’s influence. Lovers meet, woo, pursue, and more, all in one zany night that will change the town forever.
Burning Love is a rocking, heartwarming tale about following dreams, opening up to love, and the power of music. Among the songs featured in the score are classics like "Heartbreak Hotel," "Love Me Tender," "Don't Be Cruel," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and “All Shook Up”. Under the musical direction of Aisling Lyons and the production of Joan King, this promises to be a very entertaining show.
