St Vincent de Paul annual collection
The Annual Collection for the St Vincent de Paul will take place at all masses in the Castlebar area on the weekend of November 10 and 11.
Saturday Forum on CRC
Following on from the results of the Presidential Election there will be much to discuss on Saturday Forum this week. The flagship current affairs programme can be heard on CRC 102.9 fm at 12 noon every Saturday. On this week’s programme, which will be broadcast on Saturday November 3, presenter Stephen Burns will have as his guests Cllr Martin McLoughlin (FF ), Cllr Joe McHale (SF ) and Ger Deere (FG ). A Bible studies class takes place each Wednesday from 8pm to 9pm in Balla Community Centre.
Physiotherapy classes for arthritis

Westport Women's Group
Westport Family and Community Resource Centre and Diversity Mayo would like to invite women living in the Westport area to come along to a meet-up at the Family Resource Centre on Monday November 5 from 10am to 11.30am. On the morning there will be a chat about setting up a Women’s Group, making the meetings more regular and looking at what people might be interested in. Mayo Public Participation (PPN ) is running a Social Media training for Community Groups workshop in Balla Community Centre on Tuesday, November 6 from 7pm to 9pm. It is also running an information session on the topic of Waste Prevention including food waste, in The Quay Community Centre, Westport on Thursday November 8 from 7pm to 9pm. The Mayo Pride AGM will take place in the Le Cheile Centre, Castlebar, on Wednesday November 7 at 7.30pm, all are welcome.
Men's Shed choir
Castlebar Men's Shed choir group are back for the new season. The weekly practice takes place at 3pm on Monday afternoons in the Men's Shed Workshop in GMIT under the direction of Sister Mary Johnson.
