The official route for Cannonball 2018 has been announced and Mayo will once again be hosting the supercar spectacle on Friday September 8.
The action packed supercar event was in Westpost last in 2016 and it was such a huge success that it was chosen once again in 2018 to host the event for the 10th anniversary year with free family entertainment and an electric atmosphere.
In 2017 there Cannonball got a rapturous welcome in Claremorris but it was only a lunch pitstop for a few hours. Thousands lined the streets to welcome the event and fans got up close and personal with the world’s top mark cars such as McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Masseratti, Rolls Royce and Bentley.
In 2018 Cannonball returns to Westport, one of its most popular destinations for both drivers and specatators.
ISPCC Childline ambassador and X Factor icon Louis Walsh got to grips with a Lamborghini Diablo and a BMY i8 along Cannonball founder Alan Bannon earlier this month to announce that Childline will be the official charity partner for Cannonball 2018.
This is a very special year for Ireland’s supercar spectacle as the tenth anniversary of the event approaches and all Cannonballers reunite for the ultimate supercar road-trip!
Cannonball, the action-packed supercar spectacle, is set to roll from Friday September 7 to Sunday September 9 with over 190,000 people expected to line the streets all around Ireland.
Top mark cars will blaze a trail through Dublin, Cavan, Donegal, Mayo, Spanish Point, Blarney, Cork, Tramore, Kilkenny and Wexford taking in Ireland’s Ancient East, Hidden Heartlands and Wild Atlantic Way.
