Ready to go - for round two of Loose Surface Autocross

Mayo and District Motorsport Club return to the Valley on Sunday June 10 for the second round of four Loose Surface Autocross events for 2018.

The successful opening round on Sunday May 6 was a jam packed day full of excitement with many competitors travelling from far and wide to take part.

It also kicked off the Frank Harrington Challenge and the Mayo and District Young Driver Championship for 2018. Paul McCann from Cavan took the overall win of the day and he is expected back on Sunday to defend his title.

Class of vehicles eligible for competition

Class 1: All saloon cars up to 1450cc.

Class 2: All saloon cars from 1451cc to 1650cc with not more than two valves per cylinder.

Class 3: All saloon cars from 1451cc to 1650cc with more than two valves per cylinder.

Class 4: All saloon cars from 1651cc to 2100cc.

Class 5: All saloon cars 2101cc and over, 4WD, and turbo charged saloon cars.

Class 6: Intermediate class for 16 to 18-year-olds, holding a Speed National B licence in saloon cars up to 1650cc.

Class 7: Junior class for 14 to 16-year-olds, holding a junior licence in saloon cars up to 1450cc.

After a great start to the championship Mayo and District Motorsport club are looking forward to another exciting event.
