Roscommon return to Croke Park on Sunday for an interesting Allianz Football League Division Two decider against Cavan.
Kevin McStay's team secured promotion following last weekend's win over Cork at Dr Hyde Park. It was a satisfying success for Roscommon, who will make a welcome return to Division One in 2019.
"We are back in Division One, you couldn't be picky about how the boys went after it," McStay reflected. "You'll have ups and downs when you have a young team, but the character they showed. They are a mighty gang really, the way they keep ploughing back. It shows a lot of resilience, but I just wish we weren't leaving ourselves with so much to do with 15 minutes to go."
Next on the agenda for Roscommon is a clash against Mattie McGleenan's improving Cavan outfit, who finished strongly also beating Tipperary in a thriller at Kingspan Breffni.
