St Patrick’s weekend at The Prince Bar

Celebrate our national holiday by soaking up the atmosphere at The Prince Bar & Prince of Wales Hotel, ideally located in Athlone town centre.

From Friday, March 16, to Sunday, March 18, The Prince will bring you the very best of food, sport, craic agus ceol!

On Friday, March 16, Big Deal will get the weekend's proceedings underway, playing anything from Irish traditional tunes to current chart floor fillers. Continue the party with a resident DJ until 2am. Friday nights at The Prince also offer two for one cocktails!

For St Patrick’s Day, stop by The Prince for all your Six Nations coverage, starting from 12 noon. Make sure to join the team at The Prince for the main event at 2.30pm, as Ireland take on the old enemy England. Enjoy The Prince's latest promotion - ‘Lucky 13’ - where punters will receive a free drink for any try scored by Irish jersey number 13. GAA fans can also catch all AIB All Ireland Club Championship games throughout the day.

Live music courtesy of Small Deal will begin during the day from 4.15pm. They will be followed by party band Bowtie, who will take over at 10pm. Bowtie are a five piece live professional band well known for their stage performance: 'The Bowtie Experience'.

Continue to shake your shamrock until the early hours of the morning with an in-house DJ, bringing you the very best hits from the 60s ,70s, 80s and 90s.

On Sunday, March 18, there will be extensive sports coverage throughout the day. Catch 22 will provide the live music. Stick around for a late bar with the resident DJ.

The Prince Kitchen will be serving the very best of bar food throughout the day, including breakfast, carvery and lunch, with evening bar food served until 9.30pm.
