HB Safety Services Ltd, based in Ballykeeran, Athlone was recently awarded third place in a competition open to more than 400 organisations accredited by RTITB, a global regulatory body for workplace safety training.
Open to companies in the UK and Ireland, the competition was judged on two years of Audit reports, customer feedback scores, Company Growth and IT Compliance with data upload.
UK company Angila Logistics Ltd took gold, MMP Training Ltd from Scotland took silver, and HB Safety Services took bronze. HB Safety Services is the first Irish company to have scored this high and the only one that made the top 16 Finalists.
RTITB anounced the winners, saying: “The three winners were selected following a very tough deliberation by a number of judges based on the high training standards, overall growth and good audit results.”
John Henson, managing director at HB Safety Services, was delighted with the award, saying: “We have been accredited by RTITB since 1999 and the very high standard required for continued Accreditation is the bar we set for ourselves.
“This year has been great for us as we have also been awarded ‘Approved Training Organisation’ status by the national training authority SOLAS, and we will be moving into the area of Construction Training and Certification as a result.
“We have also been exploring business partnerships with some US companies and are really excited about the prospects for growth in 2018.”
