With a wide variety of stalls specialising in local foods and crafts, Moate Christmas Market returns on Sunday, December 3 from 2 to 7pm.
Festive cheer for all is guaranteed, and there is a busking competition open to all entrants. First prize is €250, sponsored by Supermacs Moate.
Registration for the busking competition is open from 1.30pm on the day of the market at Moate Library. The competition runs between 2pm and 5pm, and the winning act will perform live on the bandstand. Entry is open to singers, musicians, dancers, and street performers.
There will be a host of children’s activities on the day, including a special visit from Santa in his grotto, and the town’s Christmas lights will be switched on in the evening.
Application forms for stalls are available up to Friday, November 24.
