A new psychotherapy practice has opened in Athlone, offering professional and confidential psychotherapy and counselling services to people in the Midlands.
Evermind was established by Petrina Timoney, a fully qualified and experienced psychotherapist, who trained for five years with the Tivoli Institute in Dublin before relocating to the Midlands last year.
Petrina said: “There is a growing awareness in recent years about the importance of proactively minding our mental health, and seeking support in times of crisis and emotional difficulty. Therapy offers a safe space for people to explore issues that are impacting negatively on their lives, and over time, it can help to effect change.
“Increasingly, however, people are also attending therapy to better understand themselves, why they are the way they are, and react to things the way they do. People may wish to examine their present circumstances, to look at their behavioural and relationship patterns, or to focus on their personal learning and growth. Therapy can offer support in times of illness, but is also beneficial in promoting wellness.”
Evermind is located in Monksland, on the outskirts of Athlone. For further information visit www.evermind.ie
