Ballinasloe businessman Thomas Campbell tragically lost his life last Thursday morning as the car he was traveling in collided with a bus on the Old Galway Road at Ballydangan, Roscommon, at around 10am.
Mr Campbell was travelling in a Mercedes vehicle when it collided with the larger 52 seater bus.
An 11-year-old female passenger in the car, the driver of the bus, and three of its 12 passengers received minor injuries as a result of the collision.
The funeral mass for Mr Campbell, who was aged in his 50s, was held on Sunday in Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Creagh.
Mr Campbell is survived his beloved wife Nora, daughters Averil (her fiancé, Pa ) and Jasmine, son Luke, grandchildren Alana and Nathan, mother Maureen, sisters Trish, Ev and Marie, brother Padraig, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, a wide circle of relatives, neighbours and many friends.
