Moate man among finalists in National Carer Awards

Comfort Keepers has announced its nine finalists for the National Carer of the Year 2017 Awards, which recognise individual carers for their outstanding service.

John Burke from Moate is the successful nominee for the Midlands area.

Comfort Keepers carers have been helping people in Ireland remain happy at home and in their communities since 2005 and currently employ more than 1,500 staff nationwide.

“Seven years ago, we started our annual Carer of the Year Awards in recognition of our staff, who improve the quality of life of others by offering exceptional care, support and companionship, and really enriching the lives of others, said Brid Gould, managing director at Comfort Keepers.

“Comfort Keepers Awards has grown year on year and is very much the highlight of our year. Each of our regional winners have been nominated by their colleagues and clients. I am so proud to be involved in such a special evening recognising their extraordinary efforts.”

The awards ceremony will take place on Friday, November 3 at Kilashee House Hotel in Kildare.
