This small intimate venue will play host to the world renowned Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill.
Martin Hayes is regarded as one of the most significant talents of Irish music. His respect for trad music from the days of his youth playing in East Clare with older musicians, to his influence on the future of the music have combined to create a unique interpretation of traditional Irish music.
He has toured the world with guitarist Dennis Cahill for more than 20 years and together they are, without doubt, the most sought-after do in Irish music today. Founder members of super-group, The Gloaming, an Irish American collaboration with a rare combination of Irish tunes, ancient sean-nós song, they deliver an unforgettable listening experience.
Dennis Cahill is a native of Chicago. Born to parents from the Dingle Penninsula, he studied music in Chicago before becoming involved in the local music scene. His minimalist guitar accompaniment to Martin Hayes’ fiddle playing is acknowledged as a major breakthrough for guitar in the Irish tradition.
In addition to his work with Martin, Dennis has performed with such renowned fiddlers as Liz Carroll, Eileen Ivers and Kevin Burke, as well as many Irish musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. He is a sought after producer for musical artists whom he records in his own Chicago studio and is also an accomplished photographer
