Great October lineup at The Dean Crowe

The Dean Crowe Theatre has a jam packed lineup of great entertainment scheduled for October.

Tenor Anthony Kearns will take to the Dean Crowe stage on Saturday, October 7, with Patrick Healy to pay tribute to the great tenor, John Count McCormack. The evening will feature the songs and stories of the legendary tenor with performances on the night from guest soprano, Breda O’Connor .

Tommy Tiernan brings his Under The Influence tour to Dean Crowe Theatre on Thursday, October 12.

As if receiving instructions from a strange and distant star, Tommy Tiernan takes to the stage refusing to take anything seriously. The political and the personal are all up for grabs as the only goal of the evening is laughter. Let our struggles be mocked and our cares abandoned. Allow yourself be guided by a language loving and theatrical performer with a half thought out plan, no professional qualifications and a mouth with a mind of its own.

Can you trust him? To be silly, yes. To behave, no. Like a bus conductor standing in front of an orchestra with a spoon in one hand and air horn in the other, what could possibly go wrong!?

Donna Taggart and her musicians come to Dean Crowe Theatre on Friday, October 20. Donna Taggart came to prominence in 2011 when her first CD was picked up by BBC Radio Ulster, who helped make her single Bright Blue Rose a radio hit. But it was her second CD, Celtic Lady Vol II, and the lead single from it - “Jealous of The Angels” - that really got people to sit up and take notice. Having chalked up a massive 35 million views on social media the song catapulted to the top of the iTunes Charts in the US, Canada, Australia, and Ireland.

Head to the Dean Crowe on Saturday, October 28, to celebrate Christie Hennessy – The Platinum Collection Tour 2017 - with Aonghus McAnally and his musicians. After a hugely successful tour in 2016, that included two sold-out shows at The National Concert Hall in Dublin, the renowned entertainer and RTÉ personality, Aonghus McAnally, takes his 'Celebrating Christie Hennessy – The Platinum Collection' show back on the road for an extended run this autumn.

The show recreates the iconic sound of his close friend and is a touching tribute to one of Ireland’s greatest ever singer-songwriters, Christie Hennessy.
