An evening of music at Roscommon Arts Centre

Music Network presents Cathy Jordan, Jarlath Henderson, and Mick Daly for an evening of outstanding music at Roscommon Arts Centre on Thursday, September 14, at 8pm.

Prepare to be entranced as three of Ireland’s most inventive singers offer up some stunning new interpretations of well-worn songs, with stirring instrumental playing and more than a little theatrical energy thrown into the mix.

Lead singer of trad supergroup Dervish, Cathy Jordan has performed thousands of concerts in more than 40 countries. During the last year, she has been mentoring Roscommon Arts Centre’s over 50s choral group, The Songbirds.

For this unique tour, she is joined by Mick Daly, founder member of the ground-breaking group, Four Men and a Dog, and Jarlaith Henderson, the youngest-ever winner of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award. Daly is an exceptional singer in addition to being a virtuoso guitarist and five-string banjo player, while Henderson has won widespread acclaim for his playing.

This is an evening of music not to be missed. Tickets are available now from Roscommon Arts Centre on (090 ) 6625824. Visit www.roscommonartscentre.ie
