Ballinasloe Panto to hold auditions for ‘Sleeping Beauty’

It's nearly that time of the year again as panto rehearsals get underway, ready for the season opening in Ballinasloe.

This year, Ballinasloe Panto has decided to put their own unique twist on a classic fairytale about a slumbering princess and a forest in dire need of a good groundskeeper. Their production of Sleeping Beauty is set to run from December 11 to 17 in the Town Hall Theatre in Ballinasloe.

The search is now on to find the perfect, tired princess, a hero prince, a handful of good fairies, and a maleficent one too! They are also looking to fill a number of other principal parts along with a whole host of chorus parts. So, if you are aged six or older, enjoy acting, singing, dancing, having fun, and making new friends, all while taking part in a magical show, then this is the production for you.

Auditions for Sleeping Beauty will be taking place in the Town Hall Theatre, Ballinasloe, on Saturday, September 16, from 12 noon to 3pm. There is no need to have anything prepared in advance, just turn up on the day and be ready to do a bit of singing and dancing.
