‘Selection’ is Renault’s new used car programme, operated by selected Renault and Dacia dealerships nationwide.
The Renault Group says that it researched the used car market in Ireland extensively to understand what mattered most to its customers, and from this research built the Renault ‘Selection’ used car programme, offering a minimum of two years’ warranty together with two years’ roadside assistance on used Renault or Dacia models up to six years old.
In addition to this, participating Renault dealerships should also provide a full vehicle history check with every car, and will prepare their cars to what it says is a unique ‘Buy Today – Drive Today’ standard. It adds that this should ensure customers receive only the highest-quality product.
To make the Renault ‘Selection’ purchase even more seamless, it says that Renault Bank will also be an integral part of the programme, providing a one-stop finance solution for all customers. It adds that to celebrate the launch of ‘Selection’, Renault Bank is now offering what it describes as a special rate of just 4.9 per cent APR PCP/HP fixed on used cars until October 31, 2017.
Renault Ireland claims that ‘Selection’ is a new standard in the used cars market which is built with the customer’s peace of mind at its core and is set to become the benchmark for used car programmes in Ireland. To demonstrate Renault Group’s confidence in the vehicles it sells, participating dealerships will exchange a vehicle purchased under the programme with one of a similar value (within 30 days or 1,000 kilometres from date of delivery ) should an unrepairable fault occur.
Renault Group Ireland currently holds 10 per cent market share of the combined car and van market, and it claims that this brand success coupled with the loyalty of Renault and Dacia customers has resulted in a fantastic selection of quality used Renault and Dacia models.
Brian Quinlan, used vehicle manager at Renault Ireland, said: “We are delighted that we have achieved our goal and have now launched Ireland’s most customer-centric used car programme. We could see the demand for used Renault and Dacia models growing very quickly, so it was important that we presented these used vehicles to potential customers in the same high standards we applied to our new vehicle sales. We have invested a lot of development and research time in Renault Selection because we want to deliver the most customer-focussed used car programme in Ireland.”
