Westmeath County Council is inviting interested individuals and organisations to participate in the formation and implementation of the County Westmeath Heritage Plan 2018 – 2023 by applying for membership of the County Westmeath Heritage Forum.
Meetings of the forum will be held every fortnight to formulate the heritage plan. Once the plan is adopted, the forum will be involved with the implementation of the objectives and actions identified in the plan over the five-year period and meetings will be held every two to three months.
Our heritage is all around us. It includes archaeological sites and objects; architectural and built heritage; industrial heritage; natural heritage such as our landscapes, flora, fauna, wildlife and geology; inland waterways – our rivers, lakes and canals; heritage gardens and parks; heritage objects; history, folklore, music, language, and other aspects of cultural heritage.
Applications from interested individuals and organisations are invited for consideration for membership of the Heritage Forum.
Closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, July 21.
