Luan Gallery is currently hosting a display of original works by artist Tina Hayes.
Ms Hayes lives and works in County Westmeath and is currently a resident of Abbey Road Artists’ Studios, Athlone.
Her work is interdisciplinary and encompasses elements ranging from art, design, participatory processes, and music. She has shown her work both nationally and internationally and has pieces in both private and public collections, including Colaiste Stiofain Naofa, Cork and the Office of Public Works.
Tina says of her work: "The faces and figures I depict endeavour to evoke an emotional response and often also a narrative subtext. They explore the spirit of humanity and the courage of people to go on in the face of meaninglessness.
"In simple terms, I would like the process to be a kind of support and make work that enriches existence. In doing so, I try to represent what I believe in so that people are hopefully drawn into the work."
Luan Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm, and on Sundays from 12 noon until 5pm. The gallery is closed on Mondays.
Tina Hayes' works will remain on display until July 21.
