WhizzKids summer camps coming to AIT

Great news for any children or teens interested in computers and technology - WhizzKids Summer Camps are coming to Athlone Institute of Technology.

WhizzKids has established itself as the provider of Ireland’s leading tech camps and this summer AIT will join the ranks of NUIG, UCD, DCU, NUIM, CIT, UL, IT Tralee and LIT by hosting the camps.

Listed number one tech camp in The Sunday Times 2016 Top 20 Summer Camps in Ireland, WhizzKids has seen a meteoric rise in popularity since they first started in 2003.

Children love the cool tech skills they learn, such as animation, web design, video game programming, 3D design, app development, and host of other IT skills close to their hearts.

From a parents’ point of view, the classes are educational and run by experienced instructors in top class facilities. It is not just sitting at a PC all day either. The camps mix in sports activities every day and their unique ‘Spy Academy’ has the children solving puzzles and catching baddies.

The camps are open to eight to 15 year olds (plus a residential option for 13 to 18-year-olds ) with no experience required. On top of their busy summer camp schedule, WhizzKids work with more than 80 schools nationwide during term time, so they have a very experienced and dedicated team of teachers. Camps sell out every year so book early to avoid disappointment.

The WhizzKids camp at AIT will run from July 24 to 28 with full day or half day options.
