Lou Lou Rose will be launching their new book, Where is Happy, published by Lilliput Press on Saturday June 24 from 2pm to 5pm in the Social Hub in Athlone Institute of Technology.
This book prompts children to question whether external things such as toys and popularity really bring lasting happiness and encourages children to practice finding peace and happiness within themselves. The story promotes self-confidence and self esteem by encouraging children to love and accept themselves just as they are.
The book introduces the use of affirmations, mirror work and power posing to children, all well established and effective methods for promoting self love, self acceptance and self esteem. The book also contains a workbook, which helps parents and children work on the themes of the book together and reinforces the message of the story.
