Fans of country music sensation Nathan Carter are urged to get their tickets quickly for the star’s performance in Kiltoom on Friday, June 2. This gig marks the opening night of the Kepak All Ireland & All Nations Sheep Shearing & Wool Handling Championships 2017.
The championships will take place throughout the bank holiday weekend at St. Brigid’s GAA Grounds, Kiltoom.
Headline act Nathan Carter will also perform the official opening of the weekend-long event before he takes to the stage in the festival marquee, complete with fully licensed bar.
This is also your chance to catch local acts Vinegar Bill from Knockcroghery and Declan Donoghue from Tulsk perform as warm-up before the main man himself takes to the stage. Organisers had launched a search for Nathan Carter's support act to get the crowd going and following intense competition on Facebook it was decided that both acts would perform.
In fact the acts proved so popular it is expected that they too will attract large numbers of fans on the night.
Nathan Carter is regarded as something of a sensation in Ireland outselling One Direction, Pharrell Williams, and Michael Buble. He also became the first country act to reach number one in the Irish charts in 2013 after Garth Brooks, six years before.
He continually packs out venues on the Irish country music scene and Kiltoom is expected to be no different as he kicks off the 2017 Shearing Championships in style.
A strictly limited number of tickets for his performance are currently on sale priced at €25 and are expected to sell out quickly. Tickets for Nathan Carter, and for the sheep shearing championship are available from Sheraton Athlone Hotel; Eight ‘til Late, Roscommon town; St. Brigid’s clubhouse, Kiltoom; and online at myclubfinances.com/nathancarter
