This year’s Women’s World Day of Prayer service will be held this Thursday, March 2 at 7.30pm in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Creagh, Ballinasloe. The service is open to both men and women and has been prepared by the Christian women of the Philippines. The theme for 2017 is ‘Am I Being Unfair To You?’, which was developed against a background of calamity, injustice, and poverty in their nation.
The organising committee will also be arranging a collection of non-perishable goods for the Women’s Refuge in Athlone. Any donations can be left at the rear of the church before the service and they will be used to help families in need.
