Kilmartin N6 and The Grove - opening doors and making a difference

Over the last seven years Kilmartin N6 Service Station and The Grove Service Station have made a real difference to people who are experiencing homelessness throughout the Midlands by helping to raise almost €50,000 for Midlands Simon Community.

The funds they have helped to raise have gone directly to the Midlands Simon Community and their fight to eliminate homelessness in the Midland counties of Westmeath, Longford, Laois, and Offaly.

Midlands Simon Community helps people to move out of homelessness by providing emergency accommodation, supporting people to source accommodation, assisting people to move into their new home, and providing a range of supports to people to help maintain their new home.

CEO of the Midlands Simon Community, Tony O’Riordan, said the charity could not provide supports to those experiencing homelessness without the type of help and partnership they have receivd from all in Kilmartin’s and The Grove over the last seven years.

“For that reason we would like to say a tremendous thank you to all the staff in both Kilmartin N6 Service Station and The Grove Service Station for their fantastic efforts, and especially to Damian and Rachel Kilmartin for their continued support of Midlands Simon Community. It really is inspiring to see such willingness on the part of the business community to support those in the local community who need help.”

Damian Kilmartin of Kilmartins and The Grove added: “We are delighted to be in a position to help the Midlands Simon Community. Over the last seven years we have built up a great relationship and we truly believe in supporting the work that Midlands Simon do. We and our 50 staff members from both service stations are committed to doing so in the future.

“It was very important for all of us to know that the funds raised were to support people in our own local communities. We would like to thank all our customers in both of our service stations for supporting us in our efforts to help the Midlands Simon Community. Without our customers it would be impossible to provide such support.”
