Audi Ireland has announced Irish pricing and specs for its all-new five-door coupé, the Audi A5 Sportback.
The A5 Sportback will launch in Ireland with five engine variants, three TFSI and two TDI. Pricing for the diesel engine models starts at €47,350 for the 2.0 TDI 150 bhp SE; while petrol engine models start at €48,010 for the 2.0 TFSI 190 bhp SE. The range will also be available in a powerful 2.0 TDI 190 bhp S tronic and a 2.0 TFSI 252 bhp S tronic option.
Since the model’s original launch in 2009, the A5 Sportback has been a design icon for the Audi brand and the all-new A5 reaffirms this position. Masterfully redesigned, the all-new Audi A5 Sportback boasts a new head-turning exterior and is characterised by a muscular chassis and unique, wave-like patterning. Thanks to innovative multi-material construction, the car weighs 15kg less than its predecessor model, making it more agile and fuel efficient. The spacious and luxurious interior boasts 480 litres of luggage capacity, one of the highest ranking models in its class.
Equipment highlights and S-Line trim
The A5 Sportback comes equipped with an extensive and impressive array of equipment as standard. Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights provide unparalleled clarity and visibility on the road in all conditions; LED interior lights stylishly illuminate key features.
True to Audi’s Vorsprung durch Tecnhnik philosophy, the new model contains the latest infotainment features, including the Audi MMI navigation system with 7-inch colour display, Bluetooth and USB charging functionality, a dedicated smartphone interface for iOS and Android devices, and a three month free trial of Audi Connect. Ground-breaking driver assistance systems, like Audi pre sense city, and front and rear parking sensors assure increased safety on the road, while the Audi drive select dynamic handling system allows the driver to select specific profiles ideally suited to their preferences and driving conditions.
The A5 Sportback S-Line trim includes additional premium features, such as LED headlights, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, leather-upholstered seats, 18-inch alloys and sports suspension.
Audi’s virtual cockpit is also available as an option on both trim lines. The fully digital instrument cluster, with various display options, projects information directly in front of the driver via a large high-resolution monitor with richly detailed graphics.
