Westmeath artworks feature in Kildare exhibition

Artworks by three Westmeath students – all winners in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition – have gone on exhibition at Kildare’s Crookstown Craft Village complex near Ballitore, which is open to the public from 10am-6pm daily until December 22.

Pictured at the official opening is Monty Badger from Ballynacargy whose 2006 work entitled ‘Au Clair De La Lune’ is one of the exhibits. He was joined at the ceremony by his father Trevor and mother Elizabeth.

Other Westmeath pieces featured in the exhibition are a 2013 work ‘The Lonely Duck’ by Oisín Johnston from Rossmore, and 2011 work ‘Welsh Poppies’ by frequent winner Deirdre Manny from Williamstown, near Delvin.
