Local singer launches #30ForMentalHealth

While discussion of mental health issues is increasing, it is important to keep it on the public agenda and remind people of what supports are available.

With this in mind, popular local singer and entertainer Colin Fahy has launched a new initiative entitled '30 songs in 30 days' to promote positive mental health awareness.

Recognising some of the mental health struggles currently being faced by people across the country, Colin is trying to create a little bit more awareness by linking up with some of the best talent across Ireland to record 30 songs in 30 days.

Each day in November, Colin will be recording tracks with his fellow musicians and posting them on social media, along with valuable information on support services available to those struggling with mental health issues.

His first song on Tuesday (November 1 ) was The Saw Doctors' classic 'Clare Island' which Colin sang with support from Tradstone. And with several more groups and solo singers already on board, momentum is building.

Follow Colin as he takes a journey through music for mental health. You'll find the tracks and further details at 'Colin Fahy Music' on Facebook and @colinfahy11 on Twitter. Follow the #30ForMentalHealth hashtag for daily updates and new content. Please like and share to support this important campaign.
