Athlone Castle will host a Spooky Storytelling evening with storyteller Aideen McBride on Saturday, October 29 at 4pm and 5.30pm.
Aideen promises to entertain your ‘little monsters’ with family-friendly but slightly spooky stories to get you in the mood for Hallowe’en, and audience participation is welcome.
“Athlone Castle is steeped in history. What better place to spend Hallowe’en than in the ghostly presence of Athlone’s past warriors and heroes?” says manager of Athlone Arts and Tourism, Carmel Duffy.
“It’ll be a fun evening of storytelling and learning with a few scares along the way! We encourage parents to be sure to pre-book by contacting Athlone Castle in advance as places for this event will be limited.”
Places should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment. There are two storytelling sessions scheduled, the first at 4pm and the second at 5.30pm. Tickets cost €6 for an adult, €4.50 for students and seniors, €3 for children under 15, and family tickets are on offer for two adults and up to four children at a cost of €15.
To book tickets call (090 ) 6442130 or email [email protected].
