Athlone-based childcare and early education provider, Grovelands Childcare, has been nominated for a total of four awards at the upcoming National Maternity & Infant Awards.
The multi-award winning childcare provider has been nominated for Best Outdoor Area, Best Learning Initiatives, Best Food & Nutrition, and Best in Equality & Diversity awards.
Grovelands Childcare centres feature specially designed, child-friendly outdoor play areas and some feature beautiful children’s gardens. Nutritious meals are prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Children are encouraged to learn and explore at their own pace supported by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Síolta and Aistear education philosophies. Each child’s individual culture and heritage is celebrated and children are encouraged to cherish diversity in their world and community.
The nominations come on the back of a hat-trick of award wins by the childcare and early education provider, having won the Best Multiple Crèche at the Maternity & Infant Awards for the past three years. No other childcare provider has been so consistently honoured at the awards, which are voted on and approved by parents as well as an expert panel of judges.
This is the ninth year of the awards, which will take place on Friday, October 14, at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dún Laoghaire. The awards aim to celebrate the very best products, services, and crèches in the industry as well as unsung heroes who go the extra mile to support families.
