The Baby Market will return to The Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe, on September 11 from 12 noon to 2pm.
This event will be bursting at the seams with secondhand baby, children, and maternity goods for sale, entertainment for kids, beautiful new and handmade baby items, and baby-related businesses providing information on their products and services. The market will run every two months.
The events have turned into a bargain hunter’s paradise for budget-conscious parents who still insist on high quality. The show will have more than 25 stalls with top quality, pre-loved baby, children, and maternity gear.
The Baby Market Ireland was set up by a Cork mother of three in 2011. Being budget aware, she spotted the opportunity for events to buy and sell pre-loved baby goods. With more than 100 events in Munster now under their belts and up to 500 customers at the Cork events, she has shown that a new parent can save as much as €1,000 on the cost of basic new baby items.
“I am expecting my second baby in a few months and I came home with everything I needed. I saved over €400,” said Laura O’Leary from Cork.
The Baby Market has expanded with events currently running every two months in Cork, Limerick, Tralee, Clonmel, Carlow, Ballinasloe, Navan, and Blanchardstown. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents of older children to turn their no longer needed, good quality, baby/child related items into cash. There will also be a cake sale on the day in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
Sellers can rent a stall to sell their own items for €30, or individual items can be dropped off and sold for a 25 per cent commission. Businesses can rent a stall for €45.
