New Seat Ateca SUV will hit the Irish market this autumn

Seat claims its new Ateca SUV, set to reach the Irish market this autumn, is the perfect car for everyday urban life.

Seat boasts that its design is self-confident and refined with its high-quality interior making every trip a true pleasure. The Seat Ateca will be available in petrol and diesel engines ranging from 1.0 TSI Eco/115 HP to 2.0 TDI/190 HP, with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive, and with manual or DSG transmissions.

Seat Ireland claims that the extensive array of technology options extends from full LED headlamps and a broad range of assistance features like the innovative ‘Traffic Jam Assist’ and the new Emergency Assist, to a package of latest-generation infotainment systems with eight-inch touchscreens and full link connectivity. There will be three equipment lines on offer, with the top-of-the-range being the Ateca Xcellence.

In keeping with Seat tradition, the Ateca derives its name from Spanish geography - the village of this name lies in the west of Saragossa in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula.

Speaking about the imminent arrival of the Ateca, Niall Phillips, Seat Ireland brand director said: “As we predicted, the reaction to the Ateca in Ireland has been fantastic. We had the car in the country earlier in the month for a tour of our dealer network and everywhere we went, the Ateca has been brilliantly received. We are really looking forward to being a part of this incredibly competitive segment and believe that the Ateca really is the best SUV in its class.”

The Ateca is offered initially in three equipment lines. The entry-level S line with 16” alloy wheels offers not only an attractive price but all the features needed in everyday life. These include air conditioning, the media system touch with a five-inch screen the electric parking brake, safety systems like seven airbags, drowsiness detection, tyre pressure monitoring, and front assist for the EU countries.

The SE line comes with extras such as 17-inch alloy wheels, LED rear lights, Climatronic, back seat release mechanism, and boot and rear parking sensors. Seat says that the new highlight is the ‘Xcellence’ top-of-the-range version.
