Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is set to partner with Irish band, The Riptide Movement, in a collaboration that will involve the band driving a Volkswagen Crafter.
Band members J P R Dalton, Ger McGarry, Mal Tuohy, and Gar Byrne were on hand to collect their new vehicle, which will provide exemplary capacity and comfort for the band on their travels and upcoming tour. The state-of-the-art Crafter will provide ample space for the band’s equipment, which offers up to 14m³ of cargo space.
Welcoming the partnership, Kim Kilduff, head of sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be able to support The Riptide Movement by providing a Volkswagen Crafter and we wish the guys safe and happy travelling in the van. We have no doubt that they will travel in comfort and have plenty of space for all their equipment in the back.”
A spokesperson for The Riptide Movement said: “We are absolutely delighted with our brand new Volkswagen Crafter and also to be in partnership with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Ireland.
“We took her on the maiden voyage for two festivals at the weekend and she handled like a dream. There’s heaps of space for all of our gear and it’s such a comfortable, smooth van. A van to us is like a fifth member. Now all we need is our fans to name the van and we’re all set!”
