The Monsoon/ Accessorize store in Athlone Towncentre is to close its doors in the coming weeks, it has emerged.
The UK-based fashion and accessories chain has confirmed it is to close its Athlone Towncentre store in mid-July. The store has been in operation since the centre’s opening in late 2007.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Monsoon/ Accessorize said the reason for the closure is “due to a number of business decisions”.
“We have no plans to re-open a store in the local area,” continued the statement.
A closing down sale is also underway in Athlone Towncentre’s Bernard John Jewellers store; however the outlet is to be rebranded and is to open as a Pandora jewellery retail unit.
